Purpose of the Stark County Agriculture Hall of Fame is to recognize outstanding contributions by an individual to agriculture. Annual awards to the Hall of Fame will honor men or women who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture. Couples and or businesses are also eligible, and are considered one recipient, if selected.
Recipients of the awards made in any year may not exceed four with no more than two being posthumous.

Categories:
1. Farmer or breeder- one who has made his/her/their major contribution from the land and the products thereof.
2. Agriculture- related activity- Agri-business / Ag Education / Ag Industry
3. Stark County Agricultural Society board member, Jr. Fair committee member, 4-H advisor, or fair volunteer.
4. Stark County supporter in government, agricultural agency, first responder, etc.

Recipients must have made their major contributions in Ohio and should have had long tenure in their field of endeavor, preferably over 25 years and shall have a solid Stark County connection.

Nominations may be made by any individual or organizations in Ohio by completing a nomination form (add more space as needed and attach with this form) and returning it to the Agriculture Hall of Fame Committee, at the Stark County Fair Office or by email to office@starkcountyfair.com.
All Nominations must be submitted on a properly prepared form. Such forms will be printed and available through the Agriculture Hall of Fame Committee via the Fair, fair offices or fair website.

Selection each year will be made by the Stark County Hall of Fame Committee. The decision of the judges shall be final and is usually completed in mid-July each year. Applicants not selected are retained for review for five years. Nominations may be re-submitted and/or additional information may be added. Annually, following selection, the nomination application will not be returned.

The Stark Co. Agriculture Hall of Fame Committee will cooperate with the Stark County Agricultural Society in arranging a suitable time, place, and method for the awards presentation.
The Stark Co. Agriculture Hall of Fame Committee will be members of the Stark County Agricultural Society and assigned by current board president.
