2026 Board Director Election

The Stark County Agricultural Society will hold an Election for members of its Board of Directors on Friday. November 6th, 2026. The election will be held at the Stark County Fairgrounds between the hours of 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM at the Senior Fair Office. Please bring your current membership card and a photo ID to vote. (per ODA Redbook).

Only current 2026 members of the Society may vote or become a candidate for election.
To become a current member of the Stark County Agricultural Society you must:

1.  Be a resident of Stark County.
2. Be at least 18 years of age.
3. Purchased your $30 Membership, in person at the Sr. Fair Office, on or before 9PM September 1st, 2026.

In order to become a candidate for election to the board of directors you must:

1. Be a member of the society for two (2) of the last three (3) years, including the current year.
2. Submit a petition containing at least 25 signatures, of current members of the Agricultural Society, to the Board Secretary 30 days before the election.

Memberships are only valid for the year shown on the card.

Article VI: Section 1 -
                The Board of Directors shall meet annually on the first Saturday following the first Friday of November of each year, and elect a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Gates, Superintendent of Parking, and such other officers as it may deem proper to serve one year or until their successors are elected and qualified. The Secretary shall be a hired position with contract to be reviewed each year.

                SECTION IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY SECTION ARTICLE VI: SECTION 2

PROPOSED CONSTITUTION CHANGE:

Article VI: Section 1 - 
                The Board of Directors shall meet annually on the first Saturday following the first Friday of November of each year, and elect a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Gates, Superintendent of Parking, and such other officers as it may deem proper to serve one year or until their successors are elected and qualified. The Secretary shall be a hired position with contract to be reviewed each year.
                No person shall serve as a President or Vice President for more than two (2) consecutive one-year terms in the same office. A person who has served two (2) consecutive terms in an office shall be ineligible for election to that same office for one (1) full year following the completion of the second consecutive term. Such person shall remain eligible to serve as a Director and may be elected or appointed to any other position for which the person is otherwise eligible.
